What is YOCO?

YO = Yoga
CO = Life Coaching

Have you ever been to a relaxing yoga class and then five minutes later found yourself raging in a traffic jam?

You’ve persevered through some punishing postures, found focus away from your iPhone, and sensed stillness in shavasana but as soon as you step off your mat and return to the real world you find yourself stressed once more. Why? Because transformation doesn’t just happen physically. And it doesn’t just happen in a yoga studio 1-hour a week. Transformation is a physical, emotional and intellectual process and it needs to happen all the time. At work, at home, even at the pub! It’s easy to find balance on a beach in Bali, but the real challenge is remaining focused and flexible during a high-pressure day in the office. By integrating the physical practice of yoga with life coaching, YOCO helps you to feel physically, emotionally, and cognitively prepared for the day. So the next time you’re stuck in traffic, you can choose how you want to respond! By integrating your physical, emotional and intellectual well being into one practice, YOCO helps to raise your emotional intelligence, self-awareness and ability to be present in the moment.

YOCO can be delivered as a 1-to-1, in groups or as a team build, helping you, your colleagues and your business with interactivity, creativity and collaboration.

Many companies are investing their wellness budgets in yoga and life coaching, so why not have both with YOCO:

Mind, Body, Business Integration!

Why do YOCO?

“Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans” – John Lennon

YOCO connects you to the present moment enabling you to experience the joys of your life as they happen, not as a memory of the past or as a hope for the future. Instead of separating out ‘relaxing time’ from ‘real-life’ YOCO bridges the gap between mind, body and business, so that you and your colleagues can perform better, live healthier and reach goals.  By using themes and coaching practices to guide you through a series of postures, YOCO helps you to feel physically, emotionally and intellectually stimulated, so that you leave in a much more present, creative and connected state.

So much of yoga is about being but to go back into our lives we need to combine that with the doing. With YOCO you will end each session with something tangible to go out into the world with. It might be a thought, an action or a change of perspective, but it will help you to live the life that you want to lead.

The biggest deathbed regret recorded by a palliative care nurse was “I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”  By creating conscious intentionality, YOCO puts you back in the driver’s seat of your own life. It’s your practice and it’s your life- so we give you the space to personalise! You will find out what you want and need on the mat so that you can step back into your life with a technique, a message or perhaps even an action point that will help you to get the most out of your day. Once you’re in a state where you are stimulated, creative, present and connected to your strengths and talents, your life will flow from you!

What People Say

James Wadley,

Director at Bank of America

Merill Lynch

I found the session very interesting and very helpful – my view is that this type of mindfulness training should be available (maybe even compulsory) for all employees. It would help the overall morale and keep stress levels to a minimum, which I know most people struggle with at times.

[Mind Body Business] was fun, relaxed and insightful. It challenged my traditional understanding of what both yoga and life coaching mean, by blending them together into techniques that I can use in my day-to-day life, even when sitting at my desk at work.

Hannah Clemmens,

Cancer Biology PhD Student

{YOCO] offers techniques that can be easily incorporated into daily life that help focus your mind and increase productivity. I feel equipped to deal with challenging situations and presentations at work and would recommend YOCO to businesses interested in encouraging wellbeing in the workplace.

Felicity Bown,

Consumer Development Manager

at Grant Thornton

Jeremy Finch,

Singer & Voice Coach

[Mind Body Business] was fun and useful. Katie led the session with warmth and generously gave us simple but powerful take home ideas from Yoga philosophy; Since the workshop I have used the techniques to ground myself, refocus my mind and connect to simple intentions that motivate  and connect me to my values.

Darren Lawrence,

Sports Consultant & Life Coach

I recently attended [Mind Body Business] and loved it!  Katie presented a number of theories, tools and techniques in order to be more mindful, more present, and connect mind and body in everyday life. Most importantly it has helped me to look at life from a different perspective. First rate!

YOCO is a truly unique idea that helps focus your mind and connect it to your body to enhance your work and personal life. It has helped me to attach positive thoughts to challenging situations and has increased my awareness of how to listen to what my body needs.
